Dear parishioners,

We are in the process of finalizing visitation plans with two candidates for priest-in-charge. This is a slight variation on the procedure we had discussed earlier; it has been adapted to meet the needs of St. Andrew's at this time.

Bishop Bud Cederholm and Rev. Cynthia Hubbard, staff officer for transitional ministry at the diocese, have been very helpful and responsive in working with us to come up with the following plan: A visitation team composed of two vestry members and the warden(s) will visit each candidate, hear each one preach, and see each one celebrate. After the two visits have taken place, the team will recommend only one of the candidates to the vestry.

Having faith that the team will enthusiastically support one candidate, we will then invite that candidate to St. Andrew's to meet the vestry. As the visits to the candidates will take place within the month of June, we anticipate that the candidate's meeting with the vestry will take place sometime in July.

Please hold the vestry and visitation team in your prayers as we embark on this decision-making process, and as we plan for a new stage in this time of transition and renewal for St. Andrew's.

Faithfully yours,

Linda and Dirk

P.S. We want to dispel any confusion that may have arisen around a recent meeting of the former search committee. Members of the former search committee met this past week with a spiritual director, at their request, to bring about some closure to their experience. This group is not involved in any current search process. The only people meeting with potential priest-in-charge candidates are the members of the visitation team noted above.
