Refugee Immigration Ministry
The Church of St. Andrew, Temple Emanu-el, and Old North Church are working with RIM (Refugee Immigration Ministry) to support a young mother and her toddler daughter who have immigrated to the area from Latin America.
Raising sufficient funds in support is our biggest challenge; contributions (big or small) are always appreciated. You can make contributions through a new GoFundMe page, gofundme.com/welcome-the-stranger. In addition, we are always looking for additional volunteers to help with acculturation, child care, health care visits, and loving and emotional support.
Affordable housing is the biggest challenge, so if anyone knows has an available apartment or needs a house sitter, please notify Steve Hahn or anyone else on the RIM team.
This is stewardship season! If you have not received it a stewardship mailing, please contact the office, at firstname.lastname@example.org, or download the letter and the pledge form.
