Our long-lasting relationship with our sister parish San Andres Apóstol in El Salvador continues to bless our lives beyond our own community and connect us with global responsibility. Three delegations of parishioners have visited the parish in the past six years, and members of that parish have visited us as well. The church collaborates with CRISPAZ in providing funds for special projects and selling crafts and textiles made in Central America as a fundraiser for the artisans.
In 2007, a group of adults and youth traveled to Mississippi with a group from the diocese to help with post-Katrina rebuilding efforts. Within the past year, a committee has formed to investigate ways to eliminate world hunger, and more initiatives along those lines will be pursued as we begin to look at ways to address the Millennium Development Goals, which have been affirmed by the General Convention of the Episcopal Church.
